Topgolf Fore Families Orlando

We love to welcome new babies into the world, but we don’t want to welcome them too soon. Join March of Dimes at Topgolf Fore Families as we fight for full-term pregnancies and ending preventable preterm birth, so all babies and families can have the best possible start!

Attendees will enjoy a fun-filled evening of golf, food & drink, games, prizes and socializing in a state-of-the-art venue, providing a FUN environment that caters to all skill levels, even non-golfers. Each spacious bay accommodates six golfers with support from a golf pro. Golfers will participate in the Top Contender Tournament and compete against March of Dimes Topgolf supporters from coast to coast with live team leaderboards across all on-site TVs and online.

Event Schedule:
6:00 - 6:30 p.m.: Check-in, Cocktails, Dinner Served and Auction Preview
6:30 – 8:30 p.m.:  Warm-up, Top Contender Tournament and Silent Auction
8:30 – 9:00 p.m.: Ambassador Family Story, Fund the Mission, Tournament Winners Announced and Auction Check-out

Dan and Allison had, what they would describe as, a fairly normal pregnancy. Allison carried to full term, she was induced and delivered a big beautiful boy Matthew at 8 lbs, 9 oz. Once Matthew arrived, though, things changed quickly. The medical team noticed he had discoloration and difficulty breathing. Within 24 hours, the baby was transported in Angel II to another hospital because of the resources available at their NICU. They determined that Matthew was born with pneumothorax, a condition that occurs when air leaks into the space between the lungs and the chest wall. Matthew spent three weeks in the NICU where he received supplemental oxygen therapy to speed up air reabsorption and lung expansion.

During their time in the NICU, Dan and Allison learned about March of Dimes and the NICU Family Support Program.

There were so many other babies in the NICU who never had any visitors...the only interaction as from nurses and March of Dimes volunteers."

Today, Matthew is a healthy 19-year-old who just finished his freshman year of college where he plays football!
