Annual Report 2022

The U.S. should be safe for everyone to give birth, but it’s not. Together with our supporters, we saw families who needed us and never wavered from taking action to directly help them before, during, and after pregnancy. The March of Dimes code of ethics commits the organization to a standard of accountability and transparency to the public. We communicate with our supporters and donors both to request contributions to our cause and to educate the public about the maternal and infant health crisis in America, volunteer opportunities, and events in communities across the country.

These efforts help advance our mission to fight for the health of moms and babies by educating women of childbearing age, their relatives, and those who support them during pregnancy. As a result, in accordance with the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) guidelines and Internal Revenue Service (IRS) guidance, March of Dimes allocates a portion of our fundraising costs to program services. As a nonprofit organization that’s exempt from federal taxation, we ensure our donors’ money is spent as efficiently and effectively as possible. If you have any information related to material issues or improprieties that should be brought to our attention, please call our 24-hour hotline: 1-800-826-6762.
