March of Dimes Statement on Departure of President and CEO

November 18, 2022

March of Dimes announced today that its President and Chief Executive Officer, Stacey D. Stewart, is stepping down from her position for personal reasons. Sharon Mills Higgins, Chair of the Board of Trustees, along with officers and key members of the Executive Leadership Team will oversee day-to-day business operations, with the expectation that an interim CEO will be announced in the coming weeks. The Board of Trustees has also initiated a comprehensive search for a permanent CEO to be named in 2023 and will engage a leading executive search firm to assist in that process. At this time, the Board of Trustees would like to thank Stacey for her steadfast commitment to the organization and our mission to lead the fight for the health of all moms and babies. During her tenure, Stacey brought invaluable perspective to March of Dimes and was instrumental in advancing our important mission. We thank her for her service and wish her the best in her future endeavors.
