March of Dimes Names Two Business Leaders to National Board of Trustees

William A. Fitzgerald of GE Aviation and Frank Wall of PMCA of Oregon have been elected to the March of Dimes National Board of Trustees, it was announced today. March of Dimes Trustees are volunteers who provide strategic direction and governance to the organization.
“We’re honored to have Bill Fitzgerald and Frank Wall join our Board of Trustees as we continue our work to give every baby a fighting chance,” says Dr. Jennifer L. Howse, President of the March of Dimes. “The business and management expertise they bring the March of Dimes will help strengthen our efforts to lower the rate of preterm birth, the leading cause of infant death in the United States.”
Mr. Fitzgerald is Vice President and General Manager of Commercial Engines Operation at GE Aviation, where he began his career in 1983. He previously served as the 2013 Chair of March for Babies, the March of Dimes signature fundraising event, and received the 2013 President’s Award of Excellence. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a master’s degree in manufacturing engineering from Boston University. He lives in Cincinnati, Ohio, with his wife and they have two adult children who volunteer for the March of Dimes in Milwaukee and Boston.

Mr. Wall is Executive Director of PMCA of Oregon, a trade association for the mechanical contracting industry. Previously, he was President and Managing Partner of Lane-Miles Standish Company. He graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in journalism. He is a 25-year volunteer for the March of Dimes and has served in a variety of national, regional, and local leadership positions, including Greater Oregon Chapter Chair. His wife Colleen and their two adult sons are also March of Dimes volunteers. They reside in Portland.
